| Caption: | Building and construction of Caledonia House, now the Penta Hotel in Academy Street, Inverness. Originally the site of the Empire Theatre which was demolished in 1971, Caledonia House first appears in the Valuation Rolls of 1973-74. DE Shoes occupied the corner site for many years, next to the rear car park entrance of the Cummings Hotel (which is now the Hush Lounge Bar). The double decker bus is parked outside the building once occupied by Teddy Mountain.* |
