This is my grandfather, David MacLean. He was born in 1880 and, following his father, trained as a plumber, eventually running his own business on Huntly Street, Inverness (now the STV studio). He married Mary Ann Forbes and they had one daughter, my mother Jane Helen (always known as Jean). David MacLean was an enthusiastic Mason, but I know little of his career in the craft. It was whilst dressing for a meeting that he collapsed and died at home in September 1945. I am happy to provide and receive any information.
