Dr Gordon Bottomley, poet and playwright born on 20th February 1874 at Eboracum Street, Keighley, Yorkshire. His favoured genre was verse drama with themes taken from Celtic and northern legend, including 'Tolmie Castle.' President of the Scottish Community Drama Association (1934 - 1948) and Vice President of the British Drama League.
