My grandfather, JGM Noble – also known as George is the young man standing at the back left next to his older brother William, back right. My grandfather died in Johannesburg in 1968 at the age of 60. The two little girls are Peggy and Elspeth. Peggy lived her whole life in Avoch and died in the 1990’s. Sadly, Elspeth died in infancy. The youngest boy is Andrew. Please contact me if any more photographs of the family are found – I would love to add them to my collection.– Bev Goodlace My paternal great grandparents. Mrs Frew’s maiden name was Marjory Duff Wilkie (1850-1935). John pre-deceased her in 1927. Both are buried in the Mitchell Hill Cemetery, Dingwall.– Lindsay Robertson This is Donald Maclennan, Bayhead Farm, Munlochy, my ‘first cousin twice removed.’ He is the youngest brother of Alexander MacLennan (in the other portrait). Donald was born 1899, the 16th child of George MacLennan and Margaret MacKenzie, and he died in 1927 at Bayhead.– Carole
